    I’m testing the trial and just for Dolby Atmos alone, S1 is way better. I couldn’t even monitor my Atmos tracks in Logic because of the known track sync problem. It would bounce correctly, but how could I mix blind with flaming tracks and echos? I was worried about vocal comping, but S1 is almost the same as Logic now. The remote app on iPad is legendary with lyrics that follow along and surround panning. You can also switch the keyboard shortcuts to Logic. For $175 I’m not seeing any reasons not to switch. Besides, I’ll still have Logic.

    I've personally tried most DAWS out there, with the exception of Pro Tools and for me 'Reaper' makes life so sweet in regards to customisation, workflow, speed and zero crashing. I feel that a lot of people are driven by aesthetics at the expense of performance. That's my personnal experience, however never limit yourself to one one DAW or one piece of software, they are all tools there to avail of, and never become a narrowminded Fanboy to one brand of company which is unproductive at best, and always remember that we as the consumer are nothing but a drop in ocean to these companies, who would certainly screw us over in the blink of an eye for profit if it ever came to it. Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, or whoever they may be. There's no perfect DAW, and if a DAW works for you stick with it, because that's the perfect DAW for 'you'.

    Hey Andrew, S1 is real good, and I believe you are a great producer of course, however....... How come you don't know Cubase is the Dady and Maser of Macros? Don't say Studio One is the only daw that does that because it makes you sound either extremely biased and uninformed, or total newby which we know you are not. Cheers

    Make a video on Pop Punk (blink-182, Sum 41 and Green Day) and how the guitar tones and vocals are different than metal. Do an entire video on Pop Punk like you did here. I will appreciate it. This is an awesome video with tons of useful information for recording and mixing. When the recorded tracks are done right it makes the mixing and mastering easy.

    I believe headroom on the Master is irrelevant in DAWs: With floating point calculations, adding a gain plugin to reduce the gain before any other effects on the Master accomplishes the same thing.

    • @ProducingInTheBox
      @ProducingInTheBox 2 дні тому

      You could throw a gain plugin on the chain to fix the issue! But I believe it’s great practice to learn how to maintain levels properly. This teaches us what matters. Just because something is louder doesn’t mean it’s better

    I agree with everything except the copy and paste of effects. DONT DO THAT. Later on if you decided to change any of them, it changes all of them because they are copies. Use new effects for each track 🔥

    Screw these subscription models, we're being ripped off for shareholders value paying for the same one thing forever and never actually owning anything. Screw shareholders, if they want money they should get a job instead of stealing the working class money.

    FL Studio has years and years of perpetual license model and they still breath and has a strong community. ¿Why Presonus suddenly become a bit codicious? I was about to buy 6.6 but this "update" slow down my decision. Cubase seems a better alternative to me.

    I used ableton & studio one but I like more logic, because of it's simplicity. Ableton is best for audio editing, logic best for fast workflow, while studio one handles audio very well!

    Dumbest shit LP won’t allow you to rearrange the channel mixer!!!!! WTF! Every fn DAW allows you to rearrange. Had tested cause there are some nice features for $200, but finally bought on 11. When I called support about this, dude was blown away you couldn’t just move channels. Apples dumbass markers are worthless. Legit looks like just another wav form, so it gets confusing trying to identify when tracking, you can’t just pinpoint 2 areas. It auto blasts a fresh marker a billion bars away.

    The reason why ARA is supported and works really well in S1, and most other DAW's is because Presonus and Celemony (the creators of Melodyne) collaborated on the creation of the ARA technology. Thats why Presonus has great stable support for Melodyne and other pitch plugins in their DAW... The more you know. 🫡

    Logic + S1 = Cubase. ^^ that says all. I´m a former hardcore S1 user, now back on Cubase 13 and... erm...very happy. Cubase has now all the good stuff that made S1 great! But: Cubase has much more to offer. Cubase has way better inspiring sample content and professional stock plugins, which are on par with Logic. (S1 lags in this areas). Cubase 13 higly recommend, I must say.

    I’m a logic guy and I’ve been so since version seven of logic. And I really do like things about Studio one, and I find the macro to be truly the best feature that I can find in studio one, but a lot of of the other things you pointed out I just don’t think they’re necessary Because I’ve been producing for forever. I’ve gotten used to my workflow and logic and ProTools from many years in the studio. This seems like more steps in distractions for me. I find that it works better when it comes to music if you go down the road of less is more, more more than more distractions slow down even though you’re going faster it’s almost like you have adding more steps unnecessarily and that song that took five days could’ve only taken three days instead. Not bashing your thought again I think Studio is phenomenal, but if you’ve already learned something else and you’re really deep in it, I don’t think it’s a great idea to jump around and switch a bunch of times unless you absolutely find something vital in another program. I’ve used cakewalk. I’ve used QBase I’ve used logic pro tools, and Studio. One logic was the best one for me. I really like your videos and I can’t wait to watch more

    • @Byron101_
      @Byron101_ 14 днів тому

      Yes... Logics workflow in midi composing and producing wayyy better and much faster than in S1. Studio One lags enormously in sample content. S1 onstock plugins are very weak. S1 is a boring lame dog and it´s flat 2D GUI is it's terrible when you're working with a lot of tracks. Logic is way more inspiring in all areas.
